Experience our stunning flavours

At Auntie's Chai Khana, we are more than just a restaurant - we are a family. Our story began over a decade ago, when our founder and head chef, Jahanvi Varma, moved to the UK from Punjab, India. She brought with her a wealth of family recipes and a passion for cooking that she was eager to share with her new community.

Starting out with just a small food cart, she quickly gained a reputation for her delicious and authentic Punjabi cuisine. Her dedication to quality and her warm and welcoming personality made her a beloved figure in the community, and soon she was able to open her own restaurant.

1st time visit and was not dissappointed- the service was quick and efficient - friendly staff, the owner was sooo welcoming - was lovely speaking to her - she made sure we was happy with service and food and made sure my little baby was happy. The food was amazing so tasty I can not fault it - food arrived super quickly. I love the fact that I was able to choose level the of spice/chilli I wanted - I opted for little to no chilli's as this is my preferred and the food was exactly as I requested. I Will definitely be eating here again- I already know what I will be ordering next hahahaha xxx

Date Visited – 8th July 2024. Rating: Don’t miss out - Highly Recommended. Atmosphere: Last night, we had a fantastic dining experience at this place, where we received personalized recommendations that were spot on. The restaurant boasts a cozy and charming vibe. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted with a sense of comfort. The warm lighting and plush seating make it an ideal spot for a laid-back meal. The ambiance is incredibly Instagram-friendly. All in all, great job. Location: The Restaurant is on the popular Green Lane High Street - London. The address is 2, Rowallen Parade, 2 Green Ln, Rowallen Parade, Dagenham RM8 1XU. Customer Service: I want to give a shoutout to Jahanvi (Owner of the Restaurant) for delivering outstanding service. Jahanvi warmly welcomes each guest, assists with the menu, and goes the extra mile to ensure we feel at home. Despite not having a reservation, we were promptly seated and taken care of by Tina. She expertly addressed all our food inquiries and was a wonderful host. Tina's extensive knowledge of the cuisine and excellent recommendations made our dining experience truly exceptional. The entire team (Jahanvi, Tina, and the new team member) collaborated seamlessly to provide impeccable service. Our needs were always met without having to ask twice. Food Quality: The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavour and cooked just right. They use only the freshest ingredients, and it really makes a difference. I highly recommend the Aloo Paratha and Mooli Paratha. Make sure to try the weekend special, Halwa Puri (really less Oil), and the Chooley. The menu has so many options, and everything we ordered was fantastic. We also had the Traditional Indian Lassi (tasted just like it does in Punjab) and the Halwa, which was really tasty. Parking – There are many Council Pay and Park facilities available just outside the Restaurant. The parking is normally free after 06:30pm weekdays. Price: Pleasantly surprised by how affordable this place is. We paid £50 for 5 people (food and drink). Considering the fresh ingredients and flavourful dishes, you really get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal. Table Booking – We visited in the evening and there is no need for advance reservations. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the Restaurant at 020 8220 0473 for assistance.

Really fantastic experience here. My dad and I came here for a bank holiday breakfast, he had the gobi paratha and I had choley bhatura. It was cooked really well and the flavour was good, bhatura was also perfectly fluffy and the choley had perfect amount of spice. Really good price and really portions. Also it is so hard to find a non-halal restaurant as a Sikh so I am so happy to find a PURE VEG restaurant, I hope it stays this way as it caters to everybody and anybody can eat there. I will be visiting often

First time visting this new place and the food was good. I would recommend the choley bhatura- Traditionally served, perfectly crisp and was surprisingly not greasy at all. I was served by a lovely man called Jas- Nothing was too much trouble for him. His customer service was excellent and the staff were overall very accommodating and friendly. Would visit again.

Awesome experience at this high street cafe. Friendly staff and great food. We went to the high street for burgers but ended up eating some of the best vegetarian food I've ever had. Vegetarian options: It's all vegetarian.

This is an excellent place to come for food. Everything was on point. The food is tasty and delicious, spices are perfect - not too hot or too bland. It’s not greasy or heavy, just right. My husband who is quite particular really enjoyed it as well. Customer service was great too. The atmosphere is warm and friendly as well and the owner really cares that all customers have a good experience. I’ve been here several times now and every time I’ve enjoyed it. Would recommend and bring others here! Also prices are very reasonable.

As big fans of Indian street food/authentic cuisine (as opposed to your standard curry house) we had been waiting for Auntie's to open since the sign went up a few months ago and it did not disappoint! The staff were welcoming and super helpful, I'm a vegan and they were able to adapt a couple of dishes for me without any issue. The food itself comes in huge portions and is absolutely delicious, we probably over-ordered but luckily we were mega hungry and ate it all! We had a great chat with the owner and will definitely be coming back soon, and bringing friends :) Vegetarian options: It is pure veg, ask for vegan adaptations. Hoping for a vegan dessert option soon :)
